My computer account on FICS played three interesting games on FICS last night. I
was using ChessTiger 14.0, PIII 600, 96 m hash, all 3,4,5 man tbs, Windows XP
Professional, also with anti-human on. I personally think with the anti-human
setting on, Tiger is stronger. It does not allow blocked positions no matter who
it plays. Fritz likes to do this sometimes..

{Game drawn by the 50 move rule} 1/2-1/2
This game surprised me as neither side had an advantage. It was drawn almost all
the way through. The highest pv I saw from Tiger was +0.53. Also SOS was out of
book at move 7, Tiger did not leave book until move 14.
Huber is the program SOS, I was using Tiger 14.0.

In the last two games here, I was surpised at the shear passive play by Fritz
which cost it both games. The last game Tiger was seeing a pv of -2.34, yet was
able to easily hang on to the draw. In the first game, Fritz was completely out
played in the endgame.
Topas is Fritz 8 on an Athlon 1200. Again I was using Tiger 14 on PIII 600.
What is surprising me is I am using a relatively slow computer compared to the
opposition, yet I have a winning record vs almost everyone I play against. Most
times I am playing nearly double the hardware, yet win 70% of the games.
To my opponents credit I have been using Tiger for many moons as I was a beta
tester so I have it pretty much "dialed" in. :)
