Unfortunately, I can't find your email address, so here's my followup...
What I listed below was the log file, in it's entirety.
I have a directory from which I run Crafty via Winboard. To generate the below
log file I named the wcrafty-15.19.exe file to "wcrafty.exe", went to a DOS
window under Win95, and typed wcrafty. I don't have a crafty.rc file, since I
typically enter commands as parameters to Winboard. It failed as below, and
this is repeatable. I tried renaming that executable back to it's original
name, then named wcrafty-15.18.exe to "wcrafty.exe" and repeated the test. This
worked fine. Also, when I run 15.19 under Winboard it is with 24M of hash and
4M of hashp (on a 128MB machine). Again, it works fine with the 15.18 version,
but fails as above with 15.19. One interesting thing about 15.19 is that it
seems to play the same opening, whereas 15.18 varies (I'm using wall.pgn, with
opening weights set up for a wide variety of choices). On the 4-5 tests I've
run it always responds to e4 with c5, then expects c3.
I hope this helps...
