Hi Steve,

To be honest, we have not really done very much on the program since the last
Paderborn tournament (Feb / Mar 2002), due to lack of time (Muntsin is busy with
his job, and I am just about to finish my diploma thesis, which consumed most
time resources during the past year). Hopefully we can find a little time to try
a few things in January (before the next Paderborn tournament...:-), but things
are quite unclear especially for me.
We have not planned to release a newer version of Ikarus, but you never know, of
course. In case we achieve some real improvement(s), we might eventually change
our minds. At the moment, I only let the program run occasionally to check how
it does on a few interesting positions that are posted in the fora (I am quite
often surprised that it actually still does quite decently!).
Anyway, thanks for your interest! I hope I did not disappoint you too much...

Regards, Munjong.
