According to the BCM 2003 catalogue, Shredder:

- has the full Fritz7 front-end (not sure whether this is Sh6 or Sh7)

It says you get (with Shredder 7):

- Shredder engine for single and multiple processors
good news: Deep Fritz/Junior = 2x cost of Single Fritz/Junior
- gigantic new opening book (not clear how different from Sh6 opening bk)
- db with 320k games
- "Triple Brain" function
- access to 3-6-man Nalimov EGTs (Fritz7 does that but not F6)
- the Endgame Oracle analysis tool, not I think in Fritz
- a utility to convert Shredder opening bk to Pocket_Fritz readable form
- support of DGT board

So there's an open question as to whether you get the Fritz8 front-end or not.

V odd that new products come out after the Xmas/post-Xmas peak: maybe there is
a reason.
