It will never happen, for many reasons.

1) The people who are now in charge of the development of Chessmaster probably
have no knowledge of this board, and probably care very little what is said
here.

2) The Utzinger settings are, in the words of their author, known (and have been
shown in several tests) to be worse at faster time controls than the default.
Since the typical CM user just likes a nice casual (and short) game of chess,
this will result in lower quality play.

3) The Utzinger settings are, in my personal opinion, probably worse than the
default on slower machines, as one of the main points of these settings is to
get deeper in a shorter amount of time. Since the typical CM user DOES NOT have
a high-end machine, as opposed to many enthusiasts on this board, this would
also result in lower quality.

4) The default settings are also used for ALL analysis features. Given the
default times of analysis for these features (usually 10 seconds), this would
either also result in a lower quality of play, or force the developers to change
the default times for these features to something much longer (at least 30
seconds), which most users will not want to wait for.

5) The Utzinger settings have not been tested by Johan, and HE has the final say
about what the default settings should be.

6) If the only reason you want these settings to be the default is so that the
SSDF will test them, then that is DEFINITELY not a good enough reason (as far as
Ubi Soft) is concerned. Most people have never heard of the SSDF list, and
sitting on top of that list for one cycle is not going to be any big deal to the
marketing/advertising people who promote Chessmaster. It CERTAINLY isn't going
to be as big a deal as the victory over GM Christiansen, which was accomplished
with settings that come with the program.
