I have some code implemented, but i'm not sure if it's enough for the CCT5. I send in Holmes only kibitz output after the move was made and not during the search. And my outputs after a "book move", playing a move "from pondering" and after the "normal search" are different. It would be nice if there are well defined rules which describes "what" the engine has to output and when (after search or also during the search). And i send only kibitz output if the opponent is a computer (this should be send by Winboard). If the opponent is not a computer (Winboard doesn't send the command "computer" to Holmes) then Holmes sends "tellics whisper ..." instead of "tellics kibitz ...". excamples from Holmes: book move: tellics kibitz ply: 1 time: 0:00,00 pv: e2e4 (opening book) normal search: tellics kibitz score: +0.06 ply: 8 time: 0:09,09 kN: 537 kNs: 59 pv: 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.d3 d6 4.c4 c5 5.Nc3 Nbd7 or if there are tb hits tellics kibitz score: +4.00 ply: 9 time: 0:17,88 kN: 731 kNs: 41 tb_hits: 20093 pv: 1.Kh4 Qd8+ 2.Kg3 Qd3+ 3.Kh4 move playd from ponder search: tellics kibitz score: +0.07 kN: 943 pv: e3 (move from permanent brain) I cannot give a pv after a ponder hit, because my root search function gets only the best move from my ponder function. have a nice day Andreas
