AFAIK, everything is allowed, as long as it automatically and doesn't involve a
human.

The CCT-rules don't forbid the us of DBs (I still like the idea of storing the
opening book there :) and/or EGTBs. (in fact many (most?) amateurs use EGTBs in
their engines) But I would ask Eugene for permission to use the EGTB-access code
in your engine. (not for this tournament specifically, but in general) (he will
most likely allow it as long as you're not going commercial, but it's fair
enough to ask :)

PS. How do you access the DB from your program? I fear some M$-specific classes?
