Assuming 37...b3 38.Nxg4 Kg7 {38...fxg4 loses quickly} 39.Ne5 Ra1 40.Rxa1 Rxa1,
the following position arises:

[D]8/2q1p1k1/3pP1p1/2pPNpNp/2P2B2/1p1B2K1/1P1R4/r7 w - - 0 42

CM9000, on a humble P3-733, finds 42.Nxg6! in 21 seconds. How do other engines
fare?

The point (apparently, because I certainly couldn't see this for myself) is, if
42...Kxg6, 43.Kh2! and now Black has no reasonable moves. According to CM,
43...Qa5 is best, with a score of over +10 for White. The only other two moves
that don't lead to a mate score are Rf1 and Rg1, both of which of course lead to
the immediate loss of the Rook.

Do I need to keep saying that I really wish I still had my P4? :-)
