Hi Jouni, Yes. It looks like you are right. Black's attack down the h-file with ...Qh8 ...Qxh2+ ... and doubling rooks looks only good enough for a draw. Your Bxd7! is a strong defence. In the game White failed to remove this potential attacker and it came in later to land the killing blow via Nf6 and h5. >1121 >[D]7r/8/3p1p1r/p1kP2p1/Pp2P1P1/1PpR3P/5R1K/8 b - - bm Rxh3+; >after forced -Rxh3+ Rxh3 Rxh3+ Kxh3 Kd4 it's only draw? Again, you are correct. At the end of your line White defends with Kg3 and has a perpetual attack on the BK. In the game the blunder Rxf6 was played and Black won with his c-pawn. The bm needs to changed here to ...Re8. Both Ruffian and Yace like this move with evals of +2.00 for Black. >1162 >[D]5r2/p5kp/1p3rp1/2pPpp2/2n3q1/P1PQPRB1/5RPP/6K1 w - - bm Bf4; >Bf4 e4! and white hasn't good continuation? I think this one is OK. White's in trouble here. He is a pawn down, his pieces are not co-ordinated, and his pawns are shattered. With Bf4 he is playing for a perpetual attack on the BQ which is in tactical difficulties. So Bf4 e4 Qxc4 exf3 Rxf3 -- Black's queen is still in trouble and White can probably still effect a perpetual attack soon once the d1 square is covered. >1290 >[D]r4rk1/4ppbp/1q2bnp1/n1p4P/4P1P1/2NBBP2/PP1Q4/1K1R2NR b - - bm Bxa2+; >according to Tiger also -Rhb8 wins (=different move order)? I think you mean ... Rfb8 and Yace agrees with you after thinking for a long time, the PV is very similar with Bxa2+ coming later. >Jouni
