It played Rxf2+, when Nxf2 appears to be much better. Asking CM to give compare the two best moves in this position shows this: Time Depth Score Positions Moves 4:01 4/11 -2.37 20654500 40...Nxf2 41.Qf4+ Kg7 42.Qg5+ Bg6 43.Kf1 h6 44.Qf4 Bd3 45.Qd4+ Kg8 46.Kg1 Rc2 47.Qe5 Nh3+ 48.Kh1 Rxc4 4:59 4/11 -0.94 25746373 40...Rxf2+ 41.Kg3 h5 42.Qd7+ Kf8 43.Qd6+ Kg8 44.Qe6+ Kg7 45.Qe5+ Rf6 46.d6 Bf5 47.c5 bxc5 48.Qxc5 Kg6 49.Qc7 This let Ruffian back in the game. Another blunder was 46...Ke8, when Kf6 or Re7 would have been a draw....? However, given the blitz time control, the relatively slower machine (and perhaps pondering on for both engines?), that could explain the quality of play. jm
