John:
Tell your wife her work is not silly hobby at all. Lesson this. Not since too
much time ago my wife abandoned her job and begun to work in sculpture. She even
took some of her severance money and made for her a kind of atelier in the end
side of our huge garden -800 square meters- and now, guess, in this very moment
she is with other three artist selling his stuff in an expo. She just decided
her job was not silly or a hobby, but somting serious and so has been
considered.
It is impressive how much the real status of our work depends of which status we
give to it. There are too much people ready to accept at once that yur work is
worthless, so why to make his job easier? I think she had made very pretty
things in the realm of screen art if you want to call it that way.
BTW, If ever you consider to get a job outside USA, let me know. My country has
a very developped software industry, in fact here is made all banking software
used in latinoamerica and a good shunk of the used in financial issues in USA,
believe it or not. In the engineering depts of universities we have a cluster of
genuses. Lot of students aiming to robotics. More: one of my best friend, an
electric engineer, is beginning a new commercial adventure with a big
conglomerate to produce cibernetic devices to control electricity consume of a
network of banks. He is a genius in soft design. I talked him about you. Well,
to end this, many things are being made in this remote side. Just something for
you to think.
I forgot: this is the country of a software house that produce a world awarded
best instructive game for kids, a couple of years ago.
Mmm, we are cool...
My very best
fernando
