I don't think this comment was necessary. Thorsten usually says exactly what he
thinks, not couching it in comfortable terms, but at least you know his opinion.
I have seen nothing to indicate he would attempt to purposefully change the
outcome of a tournament to suit his views. On the contrary, I have seen him
change his views to match the results of his tests. For example, a little over a
year ago he was quite vociferous in his distaste for Crafty. After Bob helped
show him how to set it up properly, and with a faster processor to work with,
his tests changed and so did his attitude toward Crafty. I know of no tournament
result from him in which CSTal was the winner, and in fact have often read his
complaints posted about bugs that caused it to hang a queen, or whatever else.
Perhaps the new version is better than the CD version, which he has said is
"trash", and full of bugs, and should be replaced with CSTBlack. In any case,
what he says is his opinion from his tests, and not the other way around. He may
never be a diplomat, but he is an honest man, from my view.
