If you give me a position and the solution then I can change my progra to solve it with no problem. GambitTiger2 does not solve it for the right reason based on the main line. I find that there are also positions in the GCP test suite that are solved in 0 second and not for the right reason > >Analysis by Gambit Tiger 2.0: > >1.Nd8 h6 2.Qf7+ Kh8 3.Ne6 Rg8 4.Qxa7 Qd2 5.Re5 > ± (0.82) Depth: 9 00:00:00 203kN >1.Qe6 h5 2.Nd6+ Kh8 3.Kg2 Qd2 4.Nf7+ Kg8 5.Ne5+ Kh7 6.Qf5+ Kh8 7.Rg1 Qxa2 > ± (1.10) Depth: 9 00:00:00 357kN >1.Qe6 h5 2.Nd6+ Kh8 3.Kg2 Qd2 4.Nf7+ Kg8 5.Ne5+ Kh7 6.Qf5+ Kg8 7.Rg1 Qxa2 > ± (1.14) Depth: 10 00:00:01 499kN >1.Qe6 h5 2.Nd6+ Kh8 3.Kg2 Qd2 4.Rg1 Qg5+ 5.Kh1 Qf4 6.Nf7+ Kg8 7.Ng5+ Kh8 8.Qf7 > ± (1.04) Depth: 11 00:00:02 905kN >1.Qe6 h5 2.Nd6+ Kh8 3.Kg2 Rf8 4.Re5 h4 5.h3 Nh7 6.Rf5 Rxf5 7.Nxf5 > ± (1.00) Depth: 12 00:00:07 3194kN >1.Qe6 h5 2.Nd6+ Kh8 3.Kg2 Qc2 4.Nf7+ Kg8 5.Ng5+ Kh8 6.Qf7 Qd2 7.Re3 h4 8.h3 Rc8 > ± (0.74) Depth: 13 00:00:36 15299kN >1.Qe6 h5 2.Nd6+ Kh8 3.Kg2 Qc2 4.Rg1 Kh7 5.Qe7 Qxa2 6.Nf5 Qg8 7.Kh1 Ne8 > ± (0.86) Depth: 14 00:01:12 32106kN > >-- >GCP The main line is wrong. A program that does not show Qe6 h6 or Qe6 h5 Ng5+ Kh8 Qf5 as the main line does not solve it for the right reason. The main problem for programs is to see that Qxa2 is losing after that line. Uri
