Hello, is there any engine that is forced to motivate (or showing to be reasonable) a big winning score (e.g. +- 10.0) by giving atleast a single variation that leads to a mate? This variation doesn't have to be PV with oponent defending best. I rather think of a way to win the game against a no defending oponent just making null moves. This should be first step into direction of creating plans.... (ofcourse just first step)... and making things like in the following example impossible: [D] 8/2qk3b/3Bp1p1/1p1p1pPp/pPpPPP1P/P1P1K3/8/8 b - - 0 1 Analysis by Fritz 8: 1. -+ (-11.78): 21...Dxd6 22.e5 Dc6 23.Kf3 Dc7 24.Ke3 Dc6 2. -+ (-11.78): 21...Kxd6 22.e5+ Kd7 23.Kf3 Dc6 24.Ke2 Lg8 3. -+ (-8.59): 21...Dc6 22.e5 Lg8 23.Lc5 Lf7 24.Ld6 Db7 25.Kf2 Dc8 26.Ke3 De8 27.Kf2 Dd8 28.Kf3 Dh8 29.Kf2 4. -+ (-8.59): 21...Dd8 22.e5 De8 23.Kf2 Lg8 24.Ke3 Lf7 25.Kf2 Dd8 26.Kf3 Dh8 27.Kf2 5. -+ (-8.59): 21...Db7 22.e5 Lg8 23.Lf8 Lf7 24.Lc5 Dc7 25.Ld6 Dc6 6. -+ (-8.59): 21...Dc8 22.e5 Lg8 23.Kf3 Lf7 24.Ke3 De8 25.Kf2 Dd8 26.Kf3 Dh8 27.Kf2 7. -+ (-8.59): 21...Db6 22.e5 Lg8 23.Kf3 Lf7 24.Lf8 Ke8 25.Ld6 Dd8 26.Ke3 Kd7 8. -+ (-8.59): 21...Da7 22.e5 Da8 9. -+ (-5.66): 21...fxe4 22.Lxc7 Kxc7 23.Kf2 Lg8 24.Kg3 Lf7 25.Kf2 Kd6 26.Ke2 e5 27.fxe5+ Ke6 28.Kf2 Kf5 29.Kg3 Lg8 30.Kf2 Ke6 (Lindam, 01.12.2002) Any engine doing better?
