Yes.  You should look at the crafty source, "probe.c" to see how I
probe and use the resulting scores...  Crafty's mate scores start
at 32768 and come down based on the ply.  IE MATE=32768-ply where ply
is the point where I notice the side on move is in check and has no
legal moves out of check.

In probe.c, the mate scores from the EGTB call are converted to match
that idea...
