From pricewatch, an Athlon 2700+ (can't find 2800+ listed yet as it is scheduled
for early
2003) goes for $341.00

The 2.6 xeon that it was designed to compete against goes for $362.00, so the
price is _very_
close.  The PIV 3.06ghz goes for $699.00, wich is about double the price of the
Athlon, but
that 2.6ghz xeon looks pretty good to me...
