I am conducting an initial experiment which will involve running 32 EPD positions using the crafty engine. I ran 1 position on a very slow machine (Pentium II 350 Mhz with only 4 piece EGTB) and it took 6 hours to find the mate. With current hardware it should not take that long. If someone, using fast hardware and crafty, can run the 32 positions all the same way and provide me with the epd output file I would be very thankful. Afterwards I would be interested in running the exact same positions with another engine other then crafty perhaps CM, Ruffian or Chess Tiger. Following are the 32 epd positions: 1k1r3r/2pq4/Q2pp1pp/3p4/R2bP3/8/PPPB2PP/2KR4 w - - 1k1r3r/2pq4/Q2pp1pp/R2p4/3bP3/8/PPPB2PP/2KR4 w - - 1k1r3r/2pq4/Q2pp1pp/3p4/3bP3/2R5/PPPB2PP/2KR4 w - - 1k1r3r/2pq4/Q2pp1pp/3p4/3bP3/3R4/PPPB2PP/2KR4 w - - 1k1r3r/2pq4/Q2pp1pp/3p4/3bP3/4R3/PPPB2PP/2KR4 w - - 1k1r3r/2pq4/Q2pp1pp/3p4/3bP3/5R2/PPPB2PP/2KR4 w - - 1k1r3r/2pq4/Q2pp1pp/3p4/3bP3/6R1/PPPB2PP/2KR4 w - - 1k1r3r/2pq4/Q2pp1pp/3p4/3bP3/7R/PPPB2PP/2KR4 w - - r3r1k1/4qp2/pp1pp2Q/4p3/3Pb2R/8/PP2BPPP/4RK2 w - - r3r1k1/4qp2/pp1pp2Q/4p2R/3Pb3/8/PP2BPPP/4RK2 w - - r3r1k1/4qp2/pp1pp2Q/4p3/3Pb3/5R2/PP2BPPP/4RK2 w - - r3r1k1/4qp2/pp1pp2Q/4p3/3Pb3/4R3/PP2BPPP/4RK2 w - - r3r1k1/4qp2/pp1pp2Q/4p3/3Pb3/3R4/PP2BPPP/4RK2 w - - r3r1k1/4qp2/pp1pp2Q/4p3/3Pb3/2R5/PP2BPPP/4RK2 w - - r3r1k1/4qp2/pp1pp2Q/4p3/3Pb3/1R6/PP2BPPP/4RK2 w - - r3r1k1/4qp2/pp1pp2Q/4p3/3Pb3/R7/PP2BPPP/4RK2 w - - 2kr4/pppb2pp/8/r2Bp3/3P4/q2PP1PP/2PQ4/1K1R3R b - - 2kr4/pppb2pp/8/3Bp3/r2P4/q2PP1PP/2PQ4/1K1R3R b - - 2kr4/pppb2pp/2r5/3Bp3/3P4/q2PP1PP/2PQ4/1K1R3R b - - 2kr4/pppb2pp/3r4/3Bp3/3P4/q2PP1PP/2PQ4/1K1R3R b - - 2kr4/pppb2pp/4r3/3Bp3/3P4/q2PP1PP/2PQ4/1K1R3R b - - 2kr4/pppb2pp/5r2/3Bp3/3P4/q2PP1PP/2PQ4/1K1R3R b - - 2kr4/pppb2pp/6r1/3Bp3/3P4/q2PP1PP/2PQ4/1K1R3R b - - 2kr4/pppb2pp/7r/3Bp3/3P4/q2PP1PP/2PQ4/1K1R3R b - - 4rk2/pp2bppp/8/3pB2r/4P3/PP1PP2q/4QP2/R3R1K1 b - - 4rk2/pp2bppp/8/3pB3/4P2r/PP1PP2q/4QP2/R3R1K1 b - - 4rk2/pp2bppp/5r2/3pB3/4P3/PP1PP2q/4QP2/R3R1K1 b - - 4rk2/pp2bppp/4r3/3pB3/4P3/PP1PP2q/4QP2/R3R1K1 b - - 4rk2/pp2bppp/3r4/3pB3/4P3/PP1PP2q/4QP2/R3R1K1 b - - 4rk2/pp2bppp/2r5/3pB3/4P3/PP1PP2q/4QP2/R3R1K1 b - - 4rk2/pp2bppp/1r6/3pB3/4P3/PP1PP2q/4QP2/R3R1K1 b - - 4rk2/pp2bppp/r7/3pB3/4P3/PP1PP2q/4QP2/R3R1K1 b - - Thank you, Les
