Beta testers have been emailed update. This Modified Crafty (still called Crafty 19.01 SE )version will also be emailed to all Modified Crafty users as a major bug with weaker personalities (via the krafty command) has been fixed. There should be no more inexplicable claims of stalemate. This was cause by trying to use the "sn" command to weakened Crafty. I have been informed that this was not a proper use of the command and it could cause problems in short search scenarios, exactly the kind you would run into by using sn=1000 etc. All personalities are now control by the search depth command and evaulations. If you are interested in being a Crafty UCI beta tester email me at mfbyrne_pa@msn.com. Requirements : Own Fritz 7||Shredder 6 with the Fritz 7 patch to install UCI engines. Be familiar with installing UCI engines in Fritz 7 GUI. Be familiar with running Crafty under a GUI. Version # 3 Minor changes (major bug fix): Change the code for delay move to be a simple on off switch - there's a history there why it was setup differently, but in the end it's just a simple on/off switch. I have been informed that it was bad practice to weaken crafty by using the "sn" (search node) command. That can break crafty under short time controls. The weaker personalities are now controlled by "sd" or search depth command and not the "sn" command. Minor changes to piece evaluations to some personality's (set by the krafty command.) Enjoy!
