For example, to comment on item #1, you don't really need to use or click on a window frame to use another program on the same computer. It's even harder to detect a person using 2 computers (one to access Web site and another that plays the chess program.) Psychology is probably as good as any of methods mentioned above. Ask the person on the other end what is his favorite opening and why. Ask who is currently the world champion or who did he beat to become a world champion. I would think 99.9% of "really good" players or chess fanatics would certainly these answers. A person who just uses programs might hesitate to answer some of these questions. jorge
