I have a Dual AthlonMP on a Tyan TigerMPX and also on the Iwill MPX2 board. If
he likes to tweak his settings, the Iwill is definitely better since I have
virtually no control over my settings on the Tyan board. The Iwill board is
quirky, though, as it seems to take anywhere from 6-10 seconds to power up video
in POST. Overall, however, I have been satisfied with both boards.

The one thing to be careful about with the TigerMPX is getting the 2 Mbit BIOS
board. I can't use my USB ports. They shipped a USB 1.1 controller with the
board to compensate, but that ties up a PCI slot that I would prefer remained
free. The 4 Mbit BIOS board has working USB ports on-board.

Just matching up the system described in that link with my own, it seems a tad
expensive. My specs match or beat it in all but processor speed and raw ATA
storage (though I do have a better RAID card), and when I purchased the
components, it cost me about $1,500.
