Here are some interesting results for Position #2 All specs the same as for #1

In 3 sec DF7 found Nxg5 with
   3 seconds            -0.97
  16 seconds            -0.66
  30 seconds            -0.56
2 minutes               -0.22
3 minutes 40 seconds    =0.00

Deep Fritz 8 fails to find a win from this position, but does find it as equal.
New game
5b2/p2k1p2/P3pP1p/n2pP1p1/1p1P2P1/1P1KB2N/7P/8 w - - 0 1

Analysis by Deep Fritz 7:

1. = (0.00): 1.Kc2 Nc6 2.Kd3 Ke8 3.Nxg5 hxg5 4.Bxg5 Na5 5.Kc2
2. = (0.00): 1.Nxg5 hxg5 2.Bxg5 Nxb3 3.h4 Na5 4.h5 Nc4 5.Kc2 Na5 6.Kd3
3. ³ (-0.31): 1.Bxg5 hxg5 2.Nxg5 Ke8 3.h4 Nxb3 4.Nf3 Nc1+ 5.Kd2 Na2 6.Kc2 Nc3
7.g5 Ne2 8.h5 Nf4 9.h6 Ng6 10.Kb3 Kd7
4. µ (-0.91): 1.Ng1 Nxb3 2.Nf3 Na5 3.Bd2 Nc4 4.Kc2 Kc6 5.h3 Kb5 6.Bxg5 hxg5
7.Nxg5 Bc5 8.Kd3
5. µ (-1.19): 1.Kd2 Nxb3+ 2.Kc2 Na5 3.Bc1 Nc6 4.Be3 Kc7 5.Kb3 Kb6 6.Ka4 Kxa6
