Subject: Rebel 8 - ELO level realism

Hi all

When testing the ELO level function on Rebe8  I noticed that even although you
can lower the rating down to 1200 the program will still never miss a tactical
shot or mate in 2 or 3, whch I'm pretty sure 1200's do (I certainly do and I'm
1700). It would be much more realistic if (like Fritz 5.0 sparring mode) the
program deliberately slipped up tactically every now and then to simulate a
lower level of ability.

My other query is whether this function is valid at all time controls ?. If not
then what is ?
