The difference has already decrease from 50 to 45 and even lower than 40 if you
take into consideration Chess Tiger 15 from K6-450 Mhz to 1.2 Ghz.

  And a separate rating list for the K6-450 Mhz where the difference is already
less than 40 Points considerating doubling the hardware's speed of Chess   Tiger
15 from 1.2 Ghz to K6 450 Mhz. But as you increase the Hardware's speed the
diminishing effect from 1.2 Ghz to XP 2400+ might be even lower than 35 points
and eventually it will reach a point where doubling the processor's speed will
become useless.
