There is a book, published recently, which is devoted to "positional" positions. One hundred and fifty positions are given with the solutions. I would publish the positions here, but that would probably be illegal since the book is copywritten. The book is: "Can You be a Positional Chess Genius?" by Angus Dunnington, copyright 2002, www.everymanbooks.com, ISBN 1857442644. Chess programmers interested in knowing how well their chess engines perform with "positional" positions can use this suite of 150 positions. It would be interesting to know whether or not any of these 150 chess positions were "unsolvable" by any modern chess engine. Bob D.
