IMHO saying you find your own >moves is hypocrisy. hmm, i guess you have never played correspondence chess yourself? or know people who do? i played a bit for a while, and i know a lot of people who play CC. i can assure you that LOTS of CC players only turn on their engine and enter the opponents move when they get it, and really don't find their own moves. instead, they go with the recommendation of the engine, or, if several moves are close in value, they may choose the second or third-best. these are the guys who don't find their moves themselves. stephen explained what he does - he chooses a move, without a chess engine, and only then checks it. i wish i had had the discipline to play CC like that and i am sure most CC players don't. he most definitely "finds his moves himself", and even if he checks and changes them on occasion, his statement is quite ok. cheers martin
