After some recent discussions, I decided to write some code, to find suspicious
games from the SSDF database. I downloaded all the games from the SSDF Web-site.
I searched through the games for TB-positions, and compared the actual results
to the game theoretical results (from TBs).
In the new database, I found exactly 3 games. None of those had anything to do
with problems of incomplete TBs. One game was KBNKN, where the BN side won in
draw position (I think neither of the opponents had this TB, Shredder won vs.
Crafty).

From the big database (about 15000 games), I found 68 games, where the result
did not match the game theoretical result. Many were from engines that cannot
use TBs. Few seem to indicate, that one opponent used the critical TBs, while
the other didn't (even if it was in principle capable to use them). At a very
fast look, I found no game, that was decided by the "incomplete TB problem".
If anybody is interested, I can send all the games by mail.
One interesting position. In dead draw (any player of very low strength would
draw this vs. Kasparov or anybody else) Gandalf blundered horribly. Perhaps an
example, where slightly sophisticated knowledge can hurt, when not implemented
correctly:
