The Arena GUI, which is capable of using WB and UCI engines, has chess server
capability. I'm not sure how well it operates, but the development is in steady
progress, so probably very functional.

As for UCI or WB. Well, as a mere user, I prefer UCI for analysis. Mainly
because quite a few options like hash, tb path and some engine parameters are
settable from within the GUI. In this case it doesn't matter that all the UCI
engines appears like a monolithic mass. However, I do prefer WB engines when it
comes to atual gameplay, where the individuality of each engine is present. For
better or worse :-).
