I don't see a clue in your comment. No, I'm not old. Though I WOULD be interested in closing my search for the ideal program, and one day to close my enthusiasm for chess, and get onto the more worthwhile things in life. Chess has its values, but waiting for the best chess PROGRAM is a drain of energy. I don't even want to spend much more time and energy (or money) waiting for better computers to come onto the market. I want to know how to use waht I have, and start using it. Like I'm not interested in devoting my life in learning how to walk. I want to be able to walk the best I can, and then get down to using it. Other people might think that the whole fun in life is to be an invalid, gradually succeeding in walking, but never really wanting to get passed that stage. In such a case, I would advise the invalid to decide what he wants, and try to achieve it, without walking, OR to succeed as best he can, and to do what he can with that. But not to devote his life to fantasizing about how good walking machines might be by the times he turns 80, or later. Actually, with chess, it's a much weaker case. But I'm talking about someone who prefers to be an invalid. That was a long reply to an unclear post! S.Taylor
