Hello, My program, which usually gets plastered by Crafty 18.08, reached the following position as Black after WhiteÕs 51st move: [D]8/7k/6p1/1p6/q3N3/5Q2/8/1K6 b - - My question: is this a draw? I presume that White should be able to win both of BlackÕs Pawns thanks to its Knight, but is QN vs. Q a draw? What do the tablebases say? I stopped the game at this point, not wanting to spend a long time on an ending that might never end. If anyoneÕs interested in the game, IÕve pasted in the moves below. Details: 10 seconds per move, ponder off (for both programs - actually mine hasnÕt got ponder yet!), no tablebases. My programÕs dodgy evaluation function sometimes makes it trade a minor piece for two Pawns for the sake of winning a passed Pawn or two. This could be what happened here, but for once it didnÕt get steamrollered. Cheers, Mike.
