IIRC Goliath Light 1.5 scored very well in a big private tournament of Frank Quisinsky in 2001 and therefore Goliath author Michael Borgstaedt decided to give GL 1.5 for free for the friends of the Goliath engine. In the meantime GL 1.5 isn't available anymore at ChessBase website (german & english).
