You have to consider that engines are in a constant developement which will have been coninued after Bahrain too. But there is one major difference: In Bahrain, a "Deep" version was used for a multi-cpu computer, while Fritz 8 is for single CPU (Deep Fritz 7 is available too, and quite new still). Btw. there has also been progress within the same (main) version number with Fritz 7, when the engine was updated (7.0.0.2 -> 7.0.0.6 -> 7.0.0.8). AFAIK a Fritz 8 update, incl. the engine, is also in preparation already - as usual. Regards, M.Scheidl
