It may be that Junior depends more on good book lines than other engines. I
expect that Kasparov will choose "non-theoretical" early opening moves.

In comp-comp games, Junior 7 had only a score of 25% (!!) with White when the
queens were exchanged early (in 60 games, compared to it's general White score
of 58% in 799 games). So I wouldn't be surprised if Kasparov will try to change
the queens early with Black, too.

(Junior's Black score wasn't affected much when queens were exchanged early,
56%/53%).

I have posted the statistics below with detailed comments in CCC already longer
ago, but unfortunately didn't keep the text and the URL of the posting. It was
before the Bahrain match IMO (Fritz 7's White score is also significantly
smaller without queens).

Percentages, based on a large comp-comp database:

Engine | #Games total W B | total eQE* W/eQE B/eQE
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Fritz 7 | 784 69% 72% 65% | 59% (#57) 53% 67%
Chess Tiger 14 | 850 66% 71% 62% | 72% (#71) 73% 71%
Shredder 6/-P. | 743 61% 65% 57% | 58% (#58) 63% 53%
Junior 7 | 799 55% 58% 53% | 41% (#60) 25% ! 56%
Crafty 18.x | 741 48% 48% 47% | 51% (#52) 51% 52%

*) "eQE" = early queen exchange (within the first 10 moves)
