Hi,
My assessment of the games are from experience only not, as a programmer since I
am not qualified by any stretch of the imagination as such. I have some friends
who are addicted to GO (and play Chess to a lesser degree). Some of them think
Go is the world's most complex strategical game. Of course I disagree since
although I have essentially 6 different 'men' in chess, every man moves
differently whereas in Go they all move the same except that you have to beat
the opponent in constricting his pieces in certain areas much like Othello which
is a variant of Go to a smaller scale. Of course you may have scores of pieces
in Go but the moves are the same. The strategy may be more complex than Chess in
some ways but you have to have probably a deeper analysis and pattern
recognition due to move variance to win in Chess. My take.
Sandi
