since you are considering basic cb8, ca7 is probably a way beter deal 'cause it comes with annotated games-- only available in mega on the cb side. i love to read games in ca7, but there's nothing like the keys in cb8 or fritz7 for sorting trough TWIC superfast to find whats important to me. On the whole i think ca7 is a more powerful but nerdier program. perfect for us CCC types.
