Yes, white is lost in nearly every variation.
The point is: Fritz 8 has to play the variation with highest score. He sees no
danger because mating threats are behind his horizon.
Here are the lines in my little book:

1.e4 c5 2.d4 cxd4 3.Bc4 Nc6 4.a3 Nf6 5.Bd2 Nxe4 6.Bxf7+ Kxf7 7.Qh5+ Ke6 8.Qg4+
Kd5 9.b4 Ne5 10.c4+ dxc3 11.Nxc3+ Nxc3 12.Qh3 Na4 [12...Nb5 13.Bf4 d6 14.Rd1+
Kc6 15.Rc1+ Kb6 16.Qe3+ Ka6 17.a4 b6 18.Qe4] 13.Qb3+ Ke4 14.g4 Nd3+ [14...Nxg4
15.f3+ Ke5 (15...Kf5 16.fxg4+ Ke5 17.Nf3+) 16.fxg4 d5 17.Nf3+ Kd6 18.Bf4+ e5
19.Nxe5 Ke6 20.Qxa4 Bd6 21.0-0 Bxe5 22.Rae1] 15.Ke2 Ke5 16.Nf3+ Kf6 [16...Kd6
17.Rhc1] 17.g5+ Kg6 18.Nh4+

mainline is a perpetual check.
You probably can win if you play a 5+2 min game on Athlon XP 2000+. In 3+2 min
game Fritz8 plays 4...Qa5+. In 12...Nb5 line 14...Kc6 is not forced. Fritz 8
plays sometimes 14...Sd4 with unclear position.
I dont know if it is possible to win in tournament mode with this. I hope not.
This line is really bad.
