I had some questions pertaining to using MS VC++ for my chess program. 1.) Are they totally done away with MFC in VS .NET? The thing (MFC) was a PIB to begin with. One of the main reasons I kept away from MS VC++. Add to that their Scribble tutorial, which was enough to drive one insane! From what I browsed through in the library, I gather that they are now using some class libraries similiarly structured to C#'s and are more intuitive to use. Also, MFC is supported but not current. Is this correct? 2.) Do they have a drag and drop mechanism for VC++ .NET as in C#? From what little I have read so far, you have to code the window yourself or develop a window in C# and then port it to VC++!! I hope this is not the case for every GUI object! All in all, do you have any personal opinions on MS VC++ .NET and the benefits of using it for developing a chess program? Regards, Arshad
