Let us be frank here and admit that none of us know for sure which between Fritz
in Bahrain and Deep Blue is stronger. According to Kramnik, Deep Fritz is
stronger. But then again he never played Deep Blue and wasn't unable to beat
Deep Fritz even though had weeks to test it before the event. According to
Kasparov, Deep Blue was every strong and played close to perfection on some
position. Each of these Grand masters seem to defend the program they played
against. So we should say that as far as raw power of calculation, the edge will
obviously go to Deep Blue, but as far as positional play, Deep Fritz wil have
the edge. So it would be an intersting match: Power Vs. Finesse :)
