Go up one level in this thread

Hi Thorsten and anybody here,

I know you know CSTal well and if you say CSTal black is the best version
available in public so far then this is probably right.
So far the one and only thing I can take serious about this thread.

Else I hardly trust my eyes in seeing what is going on here.
At least it kept me laughing a while :-)

For a minute I tried to imagine what would be debated about Chessbase or Ed
Schroders company or whoever seeling chess programs in such a case. ;-)
Great imagination!

Would anybody claim first of all that they are understandably a bit chaotic -
aren't we all from time to time after waking up late? - and they probably just
forgot to put a valid update there since some months? This can happen anytime to
anyone, can it and we should rather meet it with the same warm understanding we
show for any problems with chess program companies. And this the more in a case
where we even heard rumors that there once even was a valid update! :-)))

Now how can we all help in such a wicked case?
Should we complain aloud and penetrant, like some regularly do with other
companies for much much smaller reasons? No way!
Or should someone write Chris a simple short email telling him to update his
kind of backdated update server as soon as possible or be responsible for the
consequences?

No, please, this might wake up Chris in a way which would be much too rude! We
must understand Chris might be of a more sensitive kind :-)))

So it is obvious that we should rather ask one of the persons he happens to
know, while not disturbing him. Perhaps Thorsten could politely ask and then
tell us which version to use? :-)))

Yes and then we are very eager to hear that they once really spread a better
version, and did so even by email in one case, and ummhh, where and when, well
doensn't matter, but anyway we faintly remember somebody of them once *did*
publish some such version somewhere...

So what could we request more? And what is left to us still to help him out of
some of his charming chaos?

Well to be fair with Chris - this nice Chris who just answered my post asking
for the right version on rgcc with quite a rude answer mocking about CCC members
and without *any* comment on versions, this nice Chris who left CCC for
offensive behaviour and who is intriguing against CCC and CCC members as good as
he can while reading CCC posts, and while commenting them in quite a
questionable way on rgcc.

Well just let's not think about all that disturbing stuff, but to be especially
fair with Chris we should probably invite him to send us an answer which we can
post for him here - or perhaps even better make a big interview with him here,
or perhaps yes, now I got it: we should probably take this as a very welcome
reason to reinstall him!!!

This way we could not only get charming Chris back, but even get overwhelming
new insights concerning various possible reasons for this long delay of possibly
better versions on his server.

And not only this, we could even get daily news on how he and his chickens are
doing and if this will possibly lead to which kind of difficulties, then someday
*perhaps* deciding which version is best, and, more than that, even finding a
way to put in on the Oxford server!

Additionylly we could for example offer our technically most gifted members to
him to help him with that. Or supply all CCC members with emails, attaching the
right version for the next two weeks. :-)))

At least once in a while I could laugh reading a CCC thread...

Kind regards
from Dirk
