Hello, Here's a position which I'm sure won't tax your pet program one bit. My program takes 13 ply to see the full negative consequences of Black's next move, Qe8-a4, which I think is more than it should be. If anyone wouldn't mind running this position on a program and letting me know how many plies it takes I'd much appreciate it, thanks. The idea is to force the move Qe8-a4 and wait for a substantial fail low. At the moment I'm just running check and re-capture extensions. Do you think that extensions for a single legal move could make a difference here? Thanks, Mike. [D]1r2q1k1/1np2ppp/p2p4/3N4/Pp6/5N1P/1P1Q1KP1/rR3 b - -
