If you have followed this board since its beginning then you have noticed how
much I have emphasized the fact that in my opinion a well-balanced engine must
perform equally well on any platform (I still test on 386sx-20MHz from time to
time), and that it is definitely possible to achieve this goal.

I have played with Chess Tiger for Palm in a tournament here and it has
definitely performed well above 2000 FIDE elo.
In 1996 it was already performing above 2100 elo in tournaments here, running on
368-dx 40MHz.
I think that you underestimate yourself, and your capacity to learn and exploit
the weaknesses of the program!
