This has been a known issue.  I raised it about 6 weeks ago with Alan (Cox) on
the linux
kernel-SMP mailing list.  The locks were fixed early as he reported.  The
scheduler changes
were not done at the point I asked...

I don't follow the normal kernel mailing list as it is too busy.  Glad to see
that something is
"in the works."

I might try the latest development kernel to see what happens...
