Subject: Fritz 8 only 4-5kN/s when analysing on P4 2.2Ghz with 1Gb RDRAM!!! WHY?

Strange problem with Fritz 8 - on initial installation I can get 800-1000kN/s
during analysis. If I then close Fritz and reopen it and then analyse the same
game I now get 1,2,3,4,5 kN/s and the CPU is showing 0-5% utilisation but the
memory in use climbs rapidly and sometimes there is a lot of disk thrashing.

If I reinstall it I can repeat the above quite easily.

I notice that the inital load screen says something like 'loading Fritz 8 -
409Mb' on the initial (first) load but  second and subsequent times it shows
'loading Fritz 8 - 819Mb'.

This is driving me insane - I am running on XP with P4 2.2GHz and 1Gb PC800
RDRAM on a Dell Dimension 8250.

Incidentally, I get 100% CPU usage on CM9000 which is a fantastic product.

To show you how bad things are - I have beaten Fritz 8 twice in 6 games!!!!
