It is one of the slowest programs I have seen in terms of node count. Chess system tal is slower. On a fast pentium class computer M-chess 7 is very strong. I have not tested MCP 7 on a 486. On that slow of computer MCP 7 may not be good at all unless given alot of time to think. I would say that genius would be the program to stick with until you have a faster computer. I know that it plays very strong on a 486-66.
