I have NEVER trusted any claim of any rating of any program. One must bear in
mind that the rating by itself means nothing, and thus a 2500+ rating in ICC or
in SSDF can not be compared to mexican ratings (or ratings from any other list).
I am sure that a player with a mexican rating of 2500 would smash (70% of points
in a long match) a program with a similar rating in ICC, at standard time
controls.
I know that this statement is controversial, and that many people here will
disagree. But that is my opinion, and I hope noboby feels offended. I take these
precautions because lately I have seen long and boring threads of disagreements
that lead to personal attacks (and I do not want to be involved in one), and
because I am not a native English speaker and any poor wording can be badly
misunderstood.
