Guillem:
A few years ago there was Turbo Pascal source code available on the Internet
for free download for a "state-of-the-art" chess program.  State of the art
in this case was 1985, but the program was written by/for Borland for one of
their game packs.  It uses a text interface and text pieces, but it
would be an excellent starting point for a Pascal chess program
because the code is of high quality and is completely commented....  I did
a search here and I cannot find any site now on the Net that still has it.
I am at work; when I get home I'll see if I can e-mail it to you.  I have
the source + the compiled exe.
