Or is it lazy evaluation that is a kind of futility pruning ?

Actually, thinking more of it, the reason I posted this question is that I am
pretty sure to have already read futility pruning somewhere in the sense of lazy
evaluation. I can't remember where.

Now I also see better why both belong to the same family...
