I just got Shredder7 and installation run smoothly. No problem at all. Since I had already installed Direct X 8.1 before, I stopped this. And furthermore before installing new software I always deactivate all running tasks like anti-virus and so on. I hope you will at least succeed in installing Shredder7. My OS is Win98 SE.
