Yes - I do that once in a while to see what happens.  ICD does it all the time.
Low prices generate a lot more interest and some times creates a bidding frenzy
and you get a higher price than if you start at say $49.99 - it's interesting
phenomenon.   There is a lot if interest in high quality chess products.
