Actually, I have, but admittedly several years ago. Not that it has any
relevance to my previous remark. The point was José opinion that his
disappointment with the first part was sufficient to boycott the rest, which
isn't a relevant critique of the Two Towers. That's all. I haven't mentioned
whether I liked the Fellowship and I have made it clear that Two Towers is yet
to be seen.

But I rather liked the first part and I'm approaching the second part with an
open mind and, like other movies, I expect to enjoy the experience. Rummaging
through the book mentally (and maybe physically) while watching the movie seems
rather silly to me. That is nothing more than a recipe for disappointment. It's
a guide for the overarching plot. That has general application for other book
conversions.

The second point I would like to make is stopping the spoiling. There are
probably newsgroups where Faramir's role and other discrepancies can be
scrutenized. Thiss thread is sufficiently off-topic as it is.
