Many people smarter than any of us could dream of being have spent their lives studying the area of computer chess and have put in the time it takes to create an engine of "at least Crafty's strength," and Uri, in a sense, laughs at their efforts and offers to "show them the way", for the modest fee of only 50% of all future profits. Yes, that is quite insulting coming from someone who hasn't shown that he is even on the level of the people he offers to help. I don't think this was Uri's intention, but that is the tone his post gives off. I don't think it's a coincidence that Uri hasn't told others about his ideas yet. I think it would be a good humbling experience if he shared his ideas publicly, only to have the veterans tell him they tried his idea two decades ago and they went by the wayside back then. I can't count the number of times that has happened to me :) But hey, I'm no Uri. I'm only a Russell.
